Modern Slavery Statement
This statement is made by KMT Law LLP ("KMT," "the Firm," "we") pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, for the financial year ended 2025, as approved by the Partners on 6th October 2026.
Our Commitment
KMT is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our own business or within our supply chains. As a firm regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA number 513195), we hold ourselves to high standards of professional conduct, and we expect the same commitment from anyone we do business with.
Our Organisation
KMT Law LLP is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 11 Haymarket, St James, London SW1Y 4BP. We provide legal services across Commercial & Corporate, Dispute Resolution, Immigration, Insolvency, Private Client, Real Estate and Regulatory. We operate from a single UK office and do not have overseas subsidiaries.
Our Supply Chains
As a professional services firm, our supply chain is small and UK-focused. It includes our case and practice management provider, our IT support provider, our identity verification and AML due diligence provider, and our secure records storage provider, alongside other office and professional support services such as insurance, recruitment and facilities. We do not manufacture goods or source materials internationally, which limits our exposure to the higher-risk supply chains typically associated with global manufacturing.
Risk Assessment
Given our size, the regulated nature of our profession, and the composition of our supply chain, we assess our overall risk of modern slavery or human trafficking occurring within our business, or directly within our supply chain, as low. Our own client-facing due diligence processes, including the identity verification and source of funds checks we already carry out under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, mean we are well practised at scrutinising the individuals and organisations we deal with, and we apply the same diligence-minded approach when selecting suppliers.
Our Policies
We maintain Data Retention Policy and Whistleblowing Policy, which set out our expectations of staff and third parties and provide a route for raising concerns confidentially. All partners, employees and consultants are expected to comply with these policies.
Due Diligence and Supplier Standards
Before engaging new suppliers, we consider their standing and, where relevant to the nature of the engagement, their own policies on labour standards. Our key suppliers are established, reputable providers of professional and technical services to the legal sector. We reserve the right to terminate any arrangement with a supplier found to be in breach of modern slavery legislation or our own standards.
Training
We ensure that staff are made aware of the risk factors and warning signs associated with modern slavery and human trafficking, and know how to raise concerns internally.
Looking Ahead
Over the coming year, we intend to formalise and circulate a dedicated modern slavery policy to all staff, build a modern slavery risk check into our supplier onboarding process, and continue to monitor developments in the regulatory landscape to ensure ongoing compliance.
This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as appropriate.
