Before you send documents
We will confirm in writing that we are able to act, and complete identity and source of funds checks, before a matter formally begins. Nothing you send before that point creates a solicitor and client relationship.

Terms and ConditionsIf you are an individual
- Your current valid passport
- A document showing your name and current address, such as a utility bill or bank statement, dated within the last three months
- If you cannot supply these, tell us and we will discuss alternative ways to identify you
If you are a company
- We check your existence and standing with the Registrar of Companies
- We may inspect your statutory registers and minute book
- We identify the people instructing us and anyone holding 25% or more of the company
Two things to know
Identity checks are a legal requirement before we can act, receive money from you, or pay money out. A file opening and AML check fee of £60 including VAT applies at the outset. And please book an appointment before attending the office.
