Rana Hassan is a Trainee Solicitor at Karam, Missick & Traube LLP due to qualify in August 2024. Rana joined the firm in 2022 as a Paralegal primarily assisting in the Dispute Resolution department. 

Rana plays an integral part in the firm’s Litigation, Corporate and Commercial departments and has successfully acted for clients in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters including Financial Disputes and Insolvency, Landlord and Tenant, Professional Negligence and Construction in the High Court and County Courts. 

Rana has experience in acting for numerous international clients on cross border disputes, including considering and advising on whether the English courts have jurisdiction over a claim for breach of contract, infringement of copyright and/or breach of confidence where the contract is governed by the laws of Switzerland. Rana has also assisted in defending a claim for breach of regulatory duties and negligence on behalf of a Cypriot private limited company whose services are for the provision of investment services regulated by Cysec. 

Rana read Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Law with Honours (LLB) from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and completed the Master of Laws in Legal Practice Course at BPP University.

Rana has an exceptional record on acting in matters of Advocacy, having successfully represented a client in the County Court for a Breach of Contract claim. She has a strong interest in further developing her Advocacy skills and obtaining a Higher Rights of Audience qualification. 

Prior to joining the firm, Rana gained legal experience at an International Law firm with specific focus on Dispute Resolution.
