- About Gayatri Rawtal
Gayatri Rawtal is a Partner at Karam, Missick & Traube, where she manages the Dispute Resolution Team. She regularly advises clients on claims in the High Court and County Courts relating to Professional Negligence, Employment, Commercial, Family and Matrimonial, and Private Client.
During her tenure overseeing the Dispute Resolution Team, Gayatri has been involved in several high-profile cases. Most notably, she was the primary associate advising a client in a complex, multifaceted civil fraud lawsuit of $30 million involving allegations of partnership breach, violation of bailment terms, and fraudulent conduct concerning various art pieces, antiques, and other personal property.
As well as her leading role in the Dispute Resolution Department, Gayatri has significant experience and expertise in both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to Private Clients. She has successfully handled administration of numerous cross-border estates, complex domestic estates and has assisted in advising international high net worth individuals in relation to tax matters.
Gayatri read Law and graduated with LLB (Honours) from Queen Mary University of London and completed the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law.
Prior to joining this firm in 2018, Gayatri held positions across several international law firms and not-for-profit organisations in India, Kuwait and the UK, gaining extensive legal experience. Her wealth of legal expertise extends to multiple jurisdictions, having served as Legal Counsel to a leading security and risk consultancy specialising in security risk mitigation and cybersecurity as well as a venture capital firm in New Delhi.
In her spare time, Gayatri enjoys reading, doing embroidery, and learning new languages.
Gayatri is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and has working proficiency in Arabic.
